James E. Gregory, CPA, CFE

Senior Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Audit Specialist, Virginia Tech

James Gregory received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Virginia Tech. James has specialized in investigative audits on a part-time basis since 2004 when he retired from state service.

James previously worked with the Auditor of Public Accounts for over 29 years and also worked for the United States District Court in Roanoke as a Chief Deputy Clerk. James is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). He is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and the Association of College and University Auditors.
