Audit Manager for Special Projects, Virginia Tech
Ryan Hamilton joined the Office of Audit, Risk, and Compliance in June 2018. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Information Systems from Virginia Tech and a Master in Policy Leadership from Georgetown University. He is also a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). In OARC, Ryan is responsible for managing the office’s special projects, which comprise investigative reviews and advisory services.
Before coming home to Virginia Tech, Ryan spent almost 14 years working for the Central Intelligence Agency. For the majority of his CIA career, Ryan worked in the Office of Inspector General, working in both the Office of Investigations and the Office of Audits. He specialized in financial investigations, compliance reviews, and performance audits of sensitive programs.
