Justin Noble

Justin T. Noble, CIA

Chief Audit Executive

Justin Noble is the Chief Audit Executive at Virginia Tech. Justin joined the office in 2019. Reporting to the Compliance, Audit, and Risk Committee of the Virginia Tech Board of Visitors and administratively reporting to the Vice President of Audit, Risk, and Compliance and Chief Risk Officer, Justin leads the university’s internal audit function in completing its annual audit plan; conducting fraud, waste and abuse reviews; and other advisory services that provides insight and advice to university leadership.

Justin completed his Master of Architecture and Master of Business Administration from Texas Tech University. Additionally, he has earned his Certified Internal Auditor certification. After graduating from Texas Tech, he began his career with The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, worked for Southwest Airlines, and returned to his alma mater, the Texas Tech University System.

Justin is active in the profession, currently serving on the Nominating Committee and Athletics subcommittee for the Association of College and University Auditors (ACUA). He was previously ACUA’s president, board member-at-large, chaired the NCAA Taskforce, and led the Distance Learning committee. Justin is a regular at the Association’s conferences frequently speaking at both the AuditCon and Audit Interactive conferences. Justin is also a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors and the College and University Auditors of Virginia.
